DAISY THE
CLOWN A HIT AT LNS!
The 3- and 4-year-olds
had a treat on February 24. Starting out looking
like a regular mom, Daisy the Clown showed us how
she puts on her clown make-up, her clown costume,
and her clown character. She even threw in a little
clown history and a live rabbit. Daisy used a deft
balance of physical humor, magic, and verbal play to
capture her audience.
Her rapport with the
kids was right on the money, down to the huge dollar
bills she gave each child for assisting in the act.
The transition from mom to Daisy was seamless. What
I especially liked was the way she allowed the kids
to see her make "mistakes" and then
incorporate their response into the flow of her
performance. Her audience was enthralled. To use her
magic words: THANK YOU and PLEASE come back!
